Since 2020, ExpressJS has used the most prominent position of its website to endorse “Black Lives Matter”
The rampant vandalism and violence stemming from this group apparently hasn’t justified any update from ExpressJS organizers or OpenJS. OpenJS provides foundational support for ExpressJS and approved a similar BLM promotion on NodeJS despite numerous public complaints.
Today, “Black Lives Matter Chicago” posted a jaw-droppingly evil tweet praising the parasails used by Hamas terrorists to infiltrate southern Israel and massacre Jewish civilians, women, and children:
In the case of ExpressJS:
There may be calls for these individuals and organizations to renounce themselves. However, their public and brazen racism makes them quite easy to discover. Furthermore, any renouncement at this point is meaningless lip-service. They have had several years and ample alerts to the reality of who they worship. #PrayForIsrael
Update 5/22/24
The banner has been taken down. The PR did not express any apology, remorse, or give a reason for the take down. ExpressJS organization member Wes Todd (pronouns in bio) removed the banner while simultaneously stating the organization members still support the message. John Church claimed that he and Wes were significantly responsible for adding the banner and neglected to remove it while also taking credit for keeping the banner up longer than React.
